A petal falls through the surface

A vibration shifts Their veil

A flap of a wing

disrupts the stillness of the water

and from a slumber of an eternity

They awake to listen

A howl begs for salvation,

an end to the manifestation

of a sky that has been colored red

They feel a shock in Their current

In disbelief They reach out

In disbelief They fall back

In disbelief They cry out;

What has ripped their wings?

What made them shed this blood?

With a heavy heart

once again They decide to depart,

awaiting for the wolves

to tear themselves apart
