my real passion is studying the spread of ideas and beliefs through the population. i am particularly interested in how false or misleading information can take hold and become widely accepted, and what can be done to combat this. i use tools from network science, game theory, and computational linguistics to study these questions. in my spare time, i enjoy playing the piano and hiking in the mountains. i am also a hopeless romantic and believe that true love is out there somewhere.
